The Fighting Irish football team lived up to the moniker in 1943 by winning their 4th National Championship and first for legendary Head Coach Frank Leahy. Quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Angelo Bertelli led the offense which outscored their opponents 341 to 69. The Fighting Irish of today play their home football games at historic Notre Dame Stadium where they have been doing so since 1930.
This is an authentic reproduction of the original 1943 University of Notre Dame 8-panel ballcap. It’s hand-sewn from genuine wool baseball cloth and finished with a felt logo patch.
